The US-based news website Business Insider has recently released the list of “16 incredible destinations in Asia that tourists don’t know about yet.” Bai Xep, the remote fishing village lying in the central of Vietnam, took great pride to be included in this list. 

About 10 kilometers from Quy Nhon City, Bai Xep located on a stretch of white sand is famous as a free-car village. Therefore, this place is ideal for those who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of a modern city as well as to relax on a pristine beach and enjoy plenty of fresh seafood. Staying there, tourists can be given a real opportunity to experience an authentic Vietnamese beach without the rampant tourism.

In spite of being a quite remote beach in Vietnam, Bai Xep’s beauty is undeniable. The beach has 2 small coves called Bai Truoc (Front Beach) and Bai Sau (Back Beach). While the former is a busy fishing port with so many packed houses and boats, the latter has lots of houses in different shapes and designs.

Apart from wandering around the village or taking a stroll along the beach, you can go hiking to contemplate the hidden waterfall and swimming hole. 

3. Cooking Class

The local villagers offer visitors with so many cooking classes, even if you are a vegetarian, you can still join because there are also vegetarian options for you. The locals will teach you how to cook some Vietnamese traditional food and then, you can eat your own culinary creations.

Being on the picturesque coast of Vietnam, Bai Xep is an ideal place to be explored by a ride of motorbikes. What is better than immersing yourself into the cool breeze and warm sun here? It is really worth your trying. The price for motorbike rental is not expensive, so you can hire one for the whole day and enjoy nature yourself without worrying about money.

Coming to the fishing village, the must thing you need to do is to learn how local people catch the fish from the ocean. Their techniques may be different from those in other places. V. How to Get There?

Once you decide to go to Bai Xep, Quy Nhon, you need to take the bus T11 from Quy Nhon bus station. It will take you around 20 minutes and the bus ticket only costs 10,000 VND. Everyday, the first bus departs from 5:30 am and the last one leaves at 5:15 pm. After that, you will have to catch a taxi to reach Bai Xep.
