Bustling Hanoi offers a charming blend of new and old. Admire beautiful French-styled buildings, sample Hanoi’s unique cuisine, soak up the abundance of culture and history on offer in the compelling sites and monuments of the city. 

Locally known as “Halong Bay on land”, Ninh Binh, the UNESCO-protected site, is the next destination in the itinerary where you can witness magical riverine landscape, with sheer limestone mountains rising up from the paddies. 

Head to Halong Bay, a coastal city where you can experience diverse natural landscapes, from long white sandy beaches to thousand-year-old-lime-karst.

Spend your holiday on Sapa town standing at the head of a deep valley of magnificent rice terraces which are still farmed as they have been done for centuries. 

This tour will not be complete without a visit to the highest peak in the region, Mount Fansipan, crowns the ragged ridge line high above Sapa town.

Detailed itinerary

DAY 1
Hanoi City Tour (-/L/-)
08h00-08h30: The tour guide will pick you up at the Old Quarter area / Opera House area to start for a Hanoi city tour. In the morning, you visit:
- Tran Quoc Pagoda is located on an island in the east of West Lake (Tay Ho District). The pagoda has a history of nearly 1500 years, considered the oldest in Thang Long - Hanoi. Its architecture has a harmonious combination of majesty, ancientness and elegance of the surrounding landscape located amidst the quiet background of an immense lake. It was the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel in the Ly and Tran dynasties.
- Ho Chi Minh relic site, a complex includes:  Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - the final resting place of Vietnam’s Great Father. Note: On Mondays and Fridays, Uncle Ho's mausoleum is closed, so you can only visit from the outside.
- Uncle Ho's house, where Uncle Ho lived and worked from 1958 to 1969.
- One Pillar Pagoda, a small pagoda built on a pillar in the middle of a square lake, is also a symbol of Hanoi.
- Ho Chi Minh Museum is one of the largest museums in Vietnam. The museum focuses mainly on displaying artifacts and documents about the Great Father Ho Chi Minh.
Noon: Have Lunch at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, you continue to visit:
- Thang Long Imperial Citadel is a complex of relics associated with the history of Thang Long - Dong Kinh citadel and Hanoi province starting from the pre-Thang Long period through the Dinh - pre-Le dynasties, flourished under the Ly, Tran, and Le dynasties and became the citadel of Hanoi under the Nguyen Dynasty. This is a massive architectural work built by kings in many historical periods and has become one of the most important monuments in the system of Vietnamese monuments.
- Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, which is considered the first university in Vietnam. It is an ancient architecture, built on a fairly large scale in October 1073 and exists to this day. The Temple of Literature was built to worship Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, and Chu Van An - the principal of Quoc Tu Giam - representing the high moral philosophy of Vietnamese education.
- Legendary Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple worship saints Van Xuong and Tran Hung Dao - famous generals in Vietnamese and world history. You can learn about Vietnamese and French architecture around the lake.
- At the end of the afternoon, you can take a cyclo (pay by yourself) for a walk around the Old Quarter before returning to the hotel or joining a water puppet show ...
►16h00: You come back to the hotel to check in and take a rest. Have dinner at your own expense to explore Hanoi Old Quarter cuisine.
In the evening, you are free to walk around and explore the Old Quarter at night. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2
Hanoi - Ninh Binh (B/L/-)
👉 07h30-08h00: The car and tour guide will pick you up at hotels in the Old Quarter and Hanoi Opera House, then depart for Ninh Binh.
10:30: Arrive in Bai Dinh. The tour guide takes you to visit Bai Dinh pagoda - a famous temple with many records. The whole area of Bai Dinh pagoda has an area of 107ha, in which, the Temple of Tam The and Phap Chu is thousands of square meters wide. At this temple, there is the largest bronze Buddha Tathagata statue in Southeast Asia (weighing 100 tons) and three statues of Tam The, each weighing 50 tons.
12:30: Get to a local restaurant to have lunch.
14h00: Car takes you to Trang An wharf, board on a boat to visit Trang An eco-tourism area - where limestone strips, valleys and rivers intertwine to create a fanciful and mysterious space.
You can choose one of two ways to experience the beauty of Trang An eco-tourism area:
1. Sightseeing by boat: With this route, you have the opportunity to visit 4 natural caves among the most beautiful caves in Trang An tourist area, namely Hang Lam cave, Hang Vang cave, Hang Thanh Truot cave and Hang Dai cave. You also stop to visit spiritual sites such as Suoi Tien Temple and Hanh Cung Vu Lam. This route will be very suitable for young people who like to take pictures and check in. You can have the full experience of the journey by boat to visit the cave as well as save your emotions and beautiful photos in the journey to visit Trang An .
2. Kayaking by yourself: Besides the type of sightseeing on a boat, now visitors also have a new experience, which is kayaking themselves to see the majestic beauty of the natural world heritage site of Trang An. Before getting off the boat, the guide will introduce to you the procedures from wearing life jackets, trip route, and kayaking rules to ensure your safety.
16h30: You get on the car back to Hanoi.
19h30: You return to Hanoi. Get to the hotel, take a rest. Have dinner at your own expense to explore the cuisine in Hanoi Old Quarter. In the evening, you are free to walk around and explore the Old Quarter at night. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 3
Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)
08h00: The car and tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point in the Old Quarter and Opera House to depart for Halong Bay. On the way, you stop at Hai Duong to take a rest and freely shop for specialties there.
12h30: Car arrives at Tuan Chau pier. The tour guide will implement some procedures to take the guests on board. Guests are greeted with a “welcome drink”, then have lunch on board, in the middle of the vast sea, bringing a very interesting feeling. While enjoying the dishes with the flavor of the sea, you can also enjoy the majestic natural landscapes of Halong Bay such as: Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi islet, Dog Stone islet ...
In the afternoon, you continue to:
- Visit Sung Sot Cave - one of the most beautiful caves of Halong Bay. The ceiling of the cave is covered with a layer of "velvet carpet" with a multitude of "chandeliers" of stalactites, stone statues like stone elephants, stone seals, stone raspberries, stone flowers, etc. After getting to the highest peak of the cave, there is a clear lake with charming landscape surrounding.
- Visit Titov Island and swim at the sea there
- Join cooking class (mainly spring rolls and other attractive activities for foreigners)
17h00: You return to the cruise, relax, enjoy wine and fruit in the sunset.
19h00: Have dinner on board. After that, you can participate in games on the yacht such as night squid fishing, listening to music, playing games, dancing... Enjoy the feeling of lying in the middle of the immense sea and watching the stars that will surely make you never forget.
DAY 4
Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L/- )
05h00: You should wake up early to enjoy the fresh air and quiet of the sea on the deck and participate in morning Tai Chi training (note: Tai Chi instruction is only available on ships 4 and 5 star) .
07h00-07h45: You will have breakfast at the restaurant.
08h00: You can kayak or canoe to explore Luon Cave. This is a very interesting and attractive activity for many tourists. In case of time, the cruise will stop for a visit to the Fishing Village where pearls are cultivated. Visitors can witness firsthand the processes that make a precious pearl, from cultivation to harvesting and processing. Not only that, there is also a museum that introduces images of the pearl production process. Then, head to the farming and processing area and ending with the display area of products and jewelry made from pearls.
10:30: You will enjoy a light lunch on board before coming back to Hanoi.
11:30: The cruise arrives at Tuan Chau wharf. The car picks you up to return to Hanoi.
17h00: Arrive in Hanoi. The car takes you back to your room. Have dinner at your own expense to explore the cuisine of the Old Quarter. In the evening, you are free to walk around and explore the Old Quarter at night. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 5
Hanoi - Sapa - Ham Rong (B/L/D)
06h40 - 07h00: Car picks you up at your hotel and departs for Sapa in the direction of Hanoi - Lao Cai highway. Note: When going to Sapa, you will go by a sleeper bus that specializes in serving tourists to Sapa and vice versa.
13h00-13h30: Arrive in Sapa, the car picks you up for lunch and then have check in at the hotel. 
Afternoon: At the appointed time, the guide will take you for a walk to visit Ham Rong Mountain tourist area with Vườn Lan Đông Dương (Indochina Orchid Garden), Cổng Trời (Heaven Gate), Sân Mây (Cloud Garden) and enjoy ethnic music program on Ham Rong Mountain. Communicate and take photos with indigenous local people.
18:30: Have dinner and be free for activities in the evening. Take pictures with Sapa Stone Church or enjoy grilled specialties and drink famous San Lung wine to warm up your body in the cold of Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.
DAY 6
Sapa - Fansipan Cable Car - Hanoi (B/L/-)
07h00: Have breakfast at the hotel.
08h00: The car and guide take you to Fansipan Cable Car Station to start the journey of conquering Fansipan by the world's most modern 3-wire cable car system with a cabin that can accommodate up to 30 guests. Then continue to conquer 600 stone steps to the top of Fansipan on an altitude of 3,143m - the roof of Indochina.
(*) Note: Currently, you can also have other options to get to the top of Fansipan to experience a new feeling and not have to walk too much (suitable for the elderly), such as:
Muong Hoa tram takes you from Sapa to Fansipan cable car station (at your own expense).
The mountain train takes you from the upper station of the Fansipan cable car to the top of Fansipan (at your own expense).
12h00: Come back to the hotel, check out. Then have lunch, take a rest and get on the bus back to Hanoi.
Afternoon: You can choose the return time that suits your needs (select before booking the tour) :
Option 1: Depart at 13h30 - Arrive Noi Bai at about 19h00 - Arrive Hanoi at about 20h00
(***) this is the default time frame if you do not choose a specific return time before booking
Option 2: Depart at 16h00 - Arrive in Noi Bai at around 21h30 - Arrive in Hanoi at about 22h30
Option 3: Depart at 22:00 - Arrive in Noi Bai at around 03:00 the next morning - Arrive in Hanoi at around 04:00 the next day.

Coming back to Hanoi, the car will only drop off passengers at a single point on Tran Quang Khai street.

  • Round trip tram ticket at Bai Dinh pagoda (current fare is 60,000 VND/pax)

  • Fansipan cable car ticket 750,000 VND/ticket
  • The default program does not include the tour guide traveling to the top of Fansipan due to the fact that Fansipan Legend tourist area does not offer free tickets for tour guides. If you want to have a tour guide to get to Fansipan Peak, the cost applicable to the whole group includes 750,000 VND for cable tickets and the tour guide fee is 300,000 VND
  • Tips for drivers and guides (For Vietnamese tourists: usually from 50,000 VND/person/day; For foreign visitors, the tip is 5$/person/day)

Children Policy

  • Children from 1-4 years old are free (parents take care of all expenses for children, do not occupy seats in the car). 02 adults can be attached for free with 1 child. From the 2nd child and above, the fee is 75% of the tour price.
  • If 01 adult is accompanied by 01 child from 1-4 years old, the child must buy 50% of the adult’s tour price (enjoy the service like children 5-9 years old).
  • Children from 5-9 years old pay 75% of tour price (separate meals, separate seat in private cars but must sleep with parents). 02 charged children also do not have their own bed.
  • Children 10 years and older are counted as adults.
