Detailed Itinerary

Tour guide pickup from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel at 8:00 AM for transfer to Ben Tre Province (90 km away).

In Ben Tre, ride a Xe Loi (motorized cart) through village roads to observe local life, rice fields, and orchards.

Switch to sampan boat to explore the Mekong River’s network of waterways. Welcome drink fresh coconut juice and tropical fruits will be served while you’re observing local fishermen and delta scenery.

Upon embarkation on your sampan, you will take the visit to the traditional handicraft workshops of making coconut, brick and Hu Tieu noodles. Meet locals and learn about delta life. You will learn more about the life of people living in the Mekong Delta Region.

Experience hand-rowing boats and cycling on village paths through the delta’s rivers and canals. The two local vehicles will help you to worm easily through the interlaced network of rivers and canals to reach the smallest but prettiest corners in the region.

Lunch at a riverside restaurant. Then visit a local family’s traditional house which is a typically wooden style house and made of coconut. Learn noodle-making from the host family and hear war stories from a former Vietcong soldier who luckily survived the war fighting against the Khmer Rouge (Pon Pot).

Return to Ben Tre City pier by boat.

Arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City around 6:00 PM.
