Detailed Itinerary

The guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi around 7:30, and we’ll head to the meeting point to get your bike. Your guide will brief you on biking skills and safety notes before we begin our full-day cycling tour.

Once ready, we’ll cycle along the Red River dyke and cross the Red River via the legendary Long Bien Bridge, a proud symbol of Far East architecture. After leaving busy central Hanoi, we’ll take a small biking trail and cycle leisurely through scenic countryside. We’ll pass villages with lush rice fields, cornfields, vegetable farms, and fruit farms on our way to Bat Trang Pottery Village.

At Bat Trang Village, we’ll walk through the village to observe local life and traditional handicraft-making. You can shop at Hanoi’s largest ceramic market. Then, we’ll visit the oldest local craftsman’s house to learn about the village’s history and watch the pottery-making process.

After Bat Trang, we’ll bike along the Red River dyke and experience daily local life. You’ll see “xe thồ” (pack bikes) – the locals’ way of transporting goods – and other traditional transportation methods. We’ll take a short ferryboat ride across the Red River to Thanh Tri Village, famous for its rolled rice pancakes.

Here, we’ll visit a local family who will teach you how to make rolled rice pancakes, and you can try making your own. You’ll enjoy these specialty pancakes for lunch. After lunch, we’ll cycle back to Hanoi, passing ancient pagodas and a bustling local market. Back in Hanoi in the afternoon, we’ll return our bikes and celebrate with local drinks before the trip ends.
