In Le Mat, known as the “snake village,” watch seasoned chefs prepare unique snake dishes using grass snakes and cobras.

Marvel at how skilled cooks select their snakes and transform them into delicious delicacies through special cooking techniques. Traditionally, they infuse snake hearts and galls into wine for drinking. They prepare other snake parts through various methods – frying, grilling, and wrapping in leaves – creating an extraordinary culinary experience.

The menu features 10 distinctive snake dishes, each enhanced with Vietnamese herbs and spices. Sample everything from simple preparations like stir-fried snake with vegetables, snake soup, and snake porridge, to more elaborate dishes such as snake spring rolls, grilled snake, and crispy fried snake skin.

For the adventurous, try the fresh snake heart served with snake wine – a potent blend of Vietnamese rice wine and snake blood. This offers a unique opportunity to experience bold, traditional flavors.

After enjoying this unique feast, visit a Le Mat Village snake farm where handlers raise and train both snakes and crocodiles. Explore the display of snake-based drinks, including snakes preserved in traditional medicine and Vietnam’s largest King Cobra snake wine bottle.
