Stir-fried beef with kohlrabi (bò xào su hào) was one of my favourite dishes as a child. The beef is marinated and stir-fried on its own over high heat, then tossed back into the pan with kohlrabi and carrot at the end. Ingredients 200 g beef 1 kohlrabi 1 carrot Salt, pepper, sugar, spring onion, fish sauce, Maggi seasoning Garlic, vegetable oil How to make bò xào su hào 1. Marinate the beef Clean the beef well and slice it thinly. Marinate it with ½ teaspoon salt, a little pepper and ½ teaspoon oil, mix well and leave it for about 15 minutes. 2. Prepare the vegetables Peel the kohlrabi, clean it and slice it into short pieces. Do the same with the carrot. 3. Stir-fry the beef Heat 2–3 teaspoons of oil, add minced garlic and fry until fragrant. Add all the sliced beef and fry over high heat until it’s cooked. Move it to a clean plate. 4. Stir-fry the vegetables and combine Using the same pan, quickly add all the sliced carrot and kohlrabi and fry until soft. Season with 1 teaspoon fish sauce and ½ teaspoon sugar and stir quickly. Add the fried beef from step 3 back into the pan and season again to suit your taste. Before serving, sprinkle sliced spring onion and pepper over the top. I eat it with boiled rice. Share:
