These crispy chicken wings need no breadcrumbs and no frying. The wings are marinated, soaked in beer, rolled in ground corn cereals and then grilled in the microwave, so there’s no oil in the dish. If you love chicken and are watching what you eat, the author suggests this as a good way to have it.

Time: the wings marinate for about 30 minutes.

    Ingredients

    • 5 chicken wings (depending on how many people you’re feeding)
    • Corn cereals
    • 1 can of beer
    • Salt, pepper, sugar

How to make crispy chicken wings

    1. Marinate the wings

Clean the chicken wings carefully. Marinate them with a little salt and pepper, mix well and wait about 30 minutes. It helps to cut a few lines into the surface of the wings so they absorb the spices more quickly.

    2. Soak them in beer

Soak the wings in the beer. The beer helps the chicken become soft.

    3. Coat them in ground corn cereals

Grind the corn cereals well. This is the important step: the cereal is what makes the wings crispy.

    Ground corn cereals

Take the wings out of the beer and roll them through the ground cereal. Make sure it covers every side.

Put the wings in the microwave, set it to the grill function and grill for about 3–5 minutes.

Turn the wings over and grill for about 3 minutes more. Finally, set the grill function again at a lower heat and grill for about 12 minutes. If you don’t want to use a microwave, you can use a grilling stove instead.
