The discovery tour also brings you closer to the ethnic minority people by experiencing their local life as well as to explore the biodiversity of floras and faunas in Cuc Phuong. In addition, a visit to animal rescue centre, river rafting trip and imposing waterfall sightseeing are also the highlights of this tour. Highlights Trekking through Cuc Phuong National Park and Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve – the two wild natural areas in Northern Vietnam with variety of floras and faunas; Observing a number of primate species listed in Vietnam’s and the World’s Red Data Book in the conservation area; Hiking through primary forests, streams and terraced rice fields to experience the natural and cultural beauty Detailed Itinerary Day 1 Hanoi-Cuc Phuong National Park- Khanh Village (-/L/D) Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and we will depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh (about 90km) and reach Cuc Phuong National Park at around 10:00. There you will be guided to visit the Primate Rescue – home of tens of ape and monkey kinds listed in the Red Data Book of Vietnam and the World.Then, you will move to Bong center before starting a trek through the forest (about 5-6hours/17km) to Khanh village. The natural landscape with thousands of wild plants and animals will make you more pleasant and relaxed. A picnic lunch will be served before continuing your discovery tour.In the late afternoon, you will reach Khanh Village of Muong ethnic minority where you will dine with locals and stay overnight at stilt-house. Day 2 Khanh Village –Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve – Mon Village (B/L/D) Waking up in the early morning with tranquil village atmosphere and having breakfast with your homestay host family and continue the trekking tour early at about 7:00. Your second day trip will start by a 3.5km raft trip along Buoi River. After that you will trek 12km from Khuong Village to Mon Village along the poetic stream to reach terraced rice fields and Muong ethnic villages and have lunch on the way at Thuong Village with forest specialties . Arrive at Mon village, you’ll enjoy relaxing time and local dishes will be served for your dinner.Overnight at home-stay in Mon Village Day 3 Mon - Sat Thuong village (B/L/D) Let the mountainous cool air and birds’ songs wake you up early to enjoy peaceful atmosphere and nutritious breakfast to start another trekking day along the stream to visit Sat Thuong Village.On the way to Sat Thuong, you will see fascinating hill tribes and be captivated by the pristine landscapes and understand further about the intense relationship between the locals and their land.Arriving at Sat Thuong Village, you will check-in a stilt-house for night. The slow pace of life in this region will bring you unforgettable peaceful memories. The locals are friendly and welcoming, allowing you a chance to better understand their practices and learn about their life. Day 4 Sat Thuong – Mu Village -Hanoi (B/L/D) On the last day of our Vietnam discovery tour, we will embark on a trek to Mu Village. Stop and enjoy the lovely view at Mu waterfall before having lunch at the center of Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong.
