Mekong Delta Insight Tour 4 Days

We will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at around 8:00 am and you will embark to a 2-hour drive to Cai Be. Then, a small boat is ready to take you along canals to visit its islands with some handicraft villages and the ancient house on two banks of Mekong River as well as enjoy Đờn ca tài tử (Southern amateur music) show – one of the unique cultural values of this area. In the afternoon, you will move to Tan Phong Island and taste your lunch there.
After lunch, you continue floating on a sampan wandering small creeks among islands and enjoy fresh cool air, peaceful landscapes with many lush fresh fruit gardens along the banks. During this 1-hour boat trip, you will surely have nice photos and taste fresh fruit as much as you can then disembark to come back to Can Tho City. Arrive in Can Tho, check in Mekong Rustic lodge and have local dinner. Overnight in Can Tho

In the early morning at 05.30 AM, you will take a boat to Phong Điền floating market – the local market where they pick the tropical fruits from their garden to sell there and have an opportunity to talk to the sellers on their boats. Then you continue to cruise through beautiful small canals to reach Cai Rang floating market – The biggest wholesale tropical fruits on floating market. After experiencing the floating market, you will visit a local family who made noodles by hand with 3 generations and you can try to learn how to make noodles with them. You will have a light breakfast at a local restaurant beside beautiful and quiet canals.
Afternoon, you will go cycling to visit a blacksmith family who have been working for 50 years and made thousands of knives and learned this experience by communicating with local people. Then, you continue to visit some local activities and communicate with local people who will share culture and enjoy fresh fruits in the orchards garden. After that, you stop at the traditional house for 3 generations and learn how to make and enjoy the special banana cake with local people. Late afternoon, you will be back to Mekong Rustic Can Tho for dinner.

Following breakfast, you will visit Chau Doc after a 3-hour drive and spend all your day discovering this beautiful and friendly commune. Firstly, you will have a boat trip floating along villages of Cham people on two river banks and learn more about their traditional silk weaving. Next, you will continue moving to Chau Giang to visit the biggest mosque of the Cham community.
In the afternoon, your next stops are a Khmer’s temple, a floating fish farm and Sam Mountain respectively. Prepare your camera to catch the sunset moment from this mountain’s peak. Spend your night at a local hotel Chau Doc.

On the last day of this Mekong Delta tour, you are totally free for visiting and discovering the Chau Doc market after having breakfast. Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs for your beloved or you can talk with locals to learn more about the local culture in particular and Vietnamese culture in general.
Goodbye Chau Doc, you will stay on a 6-hour drive to come back to Ho Chi Minh City. This tour will come to an end in the late afternoon in Ho Chi Minh City.
