About the Tour

This Mekong Delta Discovery Full Day Group Tour allows you to explore the most highlights of Mekong Delta.

Poetic and peaceful are adjectives describing the beauty of My Tho, Tien Giang, a town on the left side of the Mekong River. Traveling in My Tho, you will be released in the middle of the cool green space of the West, enjoying all kinds of attractive specialties.

In My Tho, you should not miss Vinh Trang Pagoda, the temple dating from the early 19th century. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Tien Giang province today, with bold Asian – European architecture.

 Following the Tien River, sitting on a sampan boat, you can enjoy the cool breeze of the river and visit 4 islands representing the four mascots named Long (Dragon) – Lân (Unicorn) – Quy (Tortoise) – Phụng (Phoenix).

You can visit Long Island, which specializes in aquaculture on rafts and has luxuriant and delicious fruit gardens, such as durian, cherry, rambutan, seedless guava, mango,… along with the experience of walking along the road around the village, enjoying local fruits, listening to traditional folk music.

Unicorn island (Cồn Lân), also known as Con Thoi Son, is the largest of the 4 islands. Following the winding canals, the sampan boat will take you past two rows of nipa palm trees and admire the beauty of the countryside in the Southwest region. Here, you can visit traditional villages along the river such as a coconut candy processing facility, coconut souvenirs, stop by a honey bee raising farm and drink honey tea, and enjoy tropical fruit. There will be many interesting memories here.

• Leave the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh city and start your trip to My Tho, Tien Giang
• Visit Vinh Trang pagoda, the largest Buddhist temple in Mekong Delta
• Board the sampan and cruise down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon (Long), Unicorn (Lân), Tortoise (Quy), Phoenix (Phụng).
• Stop over at Long islet (Unicorn), go for a walk around the country lane and see orchards, enjoy seasonal fresh fruits, listen to Vietnamese folk song music performed by locals. 
• Then, visit the fruit plantation
• Next, get on a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son island (another name of Unicorn island) and treat yourself in the beautiful countryside, visit family businesses like coconut candy workshop, honey-bee farm, then enjoy honey tea and coconut candy.
• Have lunch at a local restaurant. Take a break. 
• In the afternoon, it’s time for cycling around Tan Thach village
• There, meet the locals and experience daily life in the Mekong Delta region.
• For those who cannot join the cycling trip, get on a hamrock to relax and enjoy the cool breeze.
• Return to Saigon. Trip ends.
