Xôi nấm, mushroom sticky rice, may sound strange at first. It’s a vegetarian dish, and you can use any mushroom you like; here I use straw mushrooms. The process is easy, so it’s a good choice if you’re busy and want to cook for yourself, your family or friends.

Xôi Nấm Recipe: Mushroom Sticky Rice

Ingredients

  • 300 g sticky rice
  • 150 g straw mushroom (nấm rơm), from Vietnamese markets
  • Leek, sliced small
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Maggi seasoning

How to make xôi nấm

1. Cook the sticky rice

Wash the sticky rice 3 times. Then boil it, and remember to add a little salt to the rice before boiling.
