Plan ahead: the beans soak for 2 hours before they’re stewed.

    Ingredients

    • 100 g green beans
    • 100 g black beans
    • 100 g white beans
    • 100 g red beans
    • 500 g sugar candy
    • 500 ml coconut
    • 30 g starch flour
    • A little salt

How to make chè thập cẩm

    1. Cook the beans

Put all the beans in boiling water and soak them for 2 hours. Take the beans out, put them in cold water and stew them on the stove until they’re cooked and soft.

Soak the coconut in warm water, then squeeze out the juice.

Coconut, grated coconut and a glass of coconut milk

Put the coconut milk in a pot and bring it to the boil. Pour in the flour mixed with water and stir until the mixture is moderately thick. Season with salt so it tastes slightly salty.

    4. Serve

Put the beans in a glass, then pour over the syrup and the coconut milk. Serve it hot or cold, as you like.
