Trà Đào Recipe: Peach Tea with Blended Peaches

Hanna Tran Hanna Tran | Updated October 16, 2026

Trà đào is peach tea, and this version was learnt from Christine Ha of MasterChef US season 3. Sugared peaches are blended into a smooth purée and stirred into brewed tea, so the drink comes out a little sour and a little sweet. It’s simple to make, and if you love peaches it’s another way to enjoy them, especially in summer.

Trà Đào Recipe: Peach Tea with Blended Peaches

Ingredients

  • 5–7 small tea bags
  • 1 litre hot water
  • 2–4 peaches
  • 80 g white sugar, or to taste
  • Ice cubes

How to make trà đào

1. Brew the tea

Put the tea bags in the hot water and leave them for about 8–10 minutes.

2. Sugar the peaches

Peel 3 of the peaches, slice them thinly and discard the stones. Mix the slices with the sugar and leave them for 10 minutes.

3. Blend until smooth

Blend the peaches and sugar until completely smooth. This is the one step that really matters: the mixture has to be a smooth purée before it goes into the tea.

4. Mix and chill

Add the peach purée to the pot of tea, take out all the tea bags and stir well.

Pour the tea into a glass jar and chill it in the fridge. To serve, add ice cubes and decorate with a few slices of peach.
