Mon Chéri Cruise - Best of Luxury Halong and Lan Ha Bay experience

Your journey may begin right from Hanoi.

In the morning, our comfortable limousine (optional service) picks you up from the Old Quarter or Opera House area, leaving the city behind as you head toward the coast. The drive takes you through the Red River Delta before arriving at Tuan Chau Marina around noon.

After a short rest at the Mon Chéri Lounge, a transfer boat brings you across the emerald waters to board your boutique floating retreat.

A refreshing welcome drink awaits as the cruise gently sails toward Lan Ha Bay — the quieter, more pristine extension of Halong Bay. Lunch is served while limestone pillars rise dramatically from the sea, creating a scene both majestic and serene.

Afternoon at Tra Bau

In the afternoon, we anchor at Tra Bau Area, known for its peaceful waters and untouched beauty.

Here, you can:

• Kayak through hidden lagoons and limestone arches

• Swim in crystal-clear emerald water

• Or simply unwind in the outdoor Jacuzzi onboard

As sunset approaches, the sundeck becomes the most magical spot on the cruise. Join our cooking demonstration to learn how to prepare traditional Vietnamese spring rolls, or enjoy Happy Hour with a cocktail in hand while the sky turns golden over the Gulf of Tonkin.

Dinner is an elegant dining experience in a refined setting. Later in the evening, you may try squid fishing, enjoy a quiet drink at the sky bar, indulge in spa services (optional), or retreat to your private balcony for a peaceful night surrounded by limestone silhouettes.

Overnight in Lan Ha Bay.

Wake early and greet the sunrise with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck — a slow, mindful start to the day as the bay remains calm and almost dreamlike.

After breakfast, we transfer you to a day boat to explore deeper into Lan Ha Bay — further from the main routes and closer to authentic local life.

Discover Viet Hai Village

We arrive at Viet Hai Jetty on Cat Ba Island. From here, you will cycle (or take an electric car) along scenic village paths surrounded by lush rainforest and limestone mountains.

Viet Hai Village offers a rare glimpse into traditional island life:

• Bamboo houses and rustic walls

• Small gardens and rice paddies

• Friendly locals living at an unhurried pace

It’s a simple yet deeply enriching experience.

Lunch is served onboard the day boat before continuing to the secluded Three Peaches Area — famous for its clear water and tranquil atmosphere. This is the perfect place for kayaking or swimming in a natural lagoon embraced by towering cliffs.

By late afternoon, we return to Mon Chéri Cruise.

Back onboard, you can relax in the Jacuzzi, sunbathe on the deck, or enjoy sunset drinks during Happy Hour — another evening where the bay transforms into shades of amber and violet.

Dinner is once again a refined culinary experience, followed by free time to unwind, socialize, or simply enjoy the stillness of Lan Ha Bay at night.

Overnight onboard.

Your final morning begins peacefully. Join Tai Chi if you wish, or enjoy a quiet coffee while watching the first light reflect on the limestone peaks.

After breakfast, we cruise toward Gia Luan Jetty for your visit to Trung Trang Cave — one of Cat Ba Island’s most impressive natural formations. Inside, you’ll walk through cool limestone chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites shaped over thousands of years, creating a mysterious and fascinating underground world.

Returning to the cruise, enjoy a relaxed brunch while Mon Chéri gently sails back to Tuan Chau Marina.

Around late morning, we disembark. If you book the limousine service, we transfer you comfortably back to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon.
