Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI → PU LUONG (L – D)

Village Life | Water Wheels | Bamboo Rafting

07:00 AM – Pick-up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Begin a scenic 4-hour drive through peaceful countryside.
10:00 AM – Short break mid-journey to stretch and take in the rural views.
12:00 PM – Arrive in Pu Luong. Enjoy a local lunch at a traditional stilt house. Check-in to your accommodation (rooms available after 2:00 PM) and unwind in nature.
01:30 PM – Set off on a gentle walk from Ban Công village (~2.5km). Cross a rustic suspension bridge to reach one of the reserve’s most picturesque valleys.
Follow the riverbanks, pass through lush rice fields, and admire the giant wooden water wheels – ingenious tools of local mountain tribes. (Trek difficulty: 2/5)
03:00 PM – Arrive at Chieu Lau dam and hop onto a bamboo raft. Paddle with locals or simply float along the stream and soak in the beauty.
Land on the opposite side of the river, then continue a scenic 2km trek back through villages and golden paddies.
05:00 PM – Return to your lodge. Freshen up and relax.
07:00 PM – Dinner is served with optional cooking class available for curious foodies. The evening is yours to enjoy under the quiet mountain sky.

DAY 2: PU LUONG → HANOI (B – L)

Rice Terraces | Brocade Weaving | Cultural Exploration

07:00 AM – Enjoy breakfast amidst mountain air. Prepare for a full morning of cultural discovery.
08:45 AM – Begin a leisurely guided walk through Don village – the heart of Pu Luong’s iconic terraced landscape.
Continue to Uoi hamlet, nestled under towering limestone cliffs, where traditional stilt houses blend seamlessly into the scenery.
10:00 AM – Arrive at Lan Village, often called the “Kingdom of the Thai People.” Here you may choose to explore on foot or take an optional bicycle ride around the tranquil surroundings.
Witness the gentle rhythms of rural life: villagers weaving brocade by hand, ducks paddling in calm ponds, and children playing in open fields.
11:30 AM – Return to your lodge to check out and enjoy a final farewell lunch.
01:00 PM – Depart Pu Luong. Estimated arrival in Hanoi around 6:30 PM, traffic permitting. The tour concludes at your hotel.
