Detailed Itinerary

Day 1
Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Lung Cu – Dong Van Town
After enjoying breakfast at Rocks Ha Giang Hostel, you’ll meet your guide and group, then kickstart the thrilling Ha Giang motorbike adventure. The ride begins at Km0 Square, symbolizing the official start of the loop. You’ll ascend through the winding curves of Bac Sum Pass, where towering cliffs and valleys open up around each bend.

Riding onward, you’ll reach Heaven’s Gate in Quan Ba, an iconic viewpoint offering sweeping views of the misty mountains below. Then cruise through the limestone corridor of Can Ty Pass, before stopping for lunch at a local eatery in Yen Minh Town.

In the afternoon, conquer the dramatic switchbacks of Tham Ma Pass, admire the peaceful scenes at Sung La Valley, and stop by Lung Cam Cultural Village to visit the famous Pao’s House, a classic Hmong home featured in Vietnamese films. Then, walk through history at the preserved Hmong King’s Palace, before heading to the northernmost point of Vietnam to climb the Lung Cu Flag Tower.

You’ll arrive in Dong Van Town by early evening and settle into your hotel. After dinner in the atmospheric Old Quarter, take a stroll around the cobbled streets, soaking in the serene mountain town vibes.
Day 2
Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Du Gia Village
Start your day with a traditional market breakfast and a local coffee. Then gear up for one of the most jaw-dropping motorbike rides of your life along the Happiness Road. You’ll pass through the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, where the road clings dramatically to cliffs high above the valley floor.

Below the pass lies the emerald ribbon of the Nho Que River, where you’ll stop for a relaxing boat ride or simply admire the gorge from the Panorama Coffee viewpoint. After visiting Meo Vac Town, ride on through remote and peaceful mountain areas to reach Mau Due Town, where you’ll stop for lunch.

The journey continues through the photogenic Mau Due Viewpoint and the winding ascent of Lung Ho Pass, with its quiet beauty and panoramic scenery.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Du Gia Village, a hidden gem surrounded by rice fields. Cool off with a refreshing swim at a local waterfall, or just enjoy the slow pace of life.

After a delicious homemade dinner at the homestay, spend the evening unwinding during happy hour, sharing stories with fellow travelers under the stars.
Day 3
Du Gia – Lung Tam Village – Ha Giang City – Hanoi
After breakfast, you’ll have time to take one last dip under the waterfall or walk around the village to see the early morning life of the locals.
Then you'll ride back toward Ha Giang, passing through the peaceful Duong Thuong Valley and winding up the scenic Thuan Hoa Pass.

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then make a final cultural visit to a traditional Tay ethnic village, where you’ll get a glimpse into rural highland life.

By mid-afternoon, arrive at Rocks Ha Giang Hostel for a relaxing tea break with fruit and a welcome drink. Later, it's time to board the sleeper bus of your choice to Hanoi or Sapa, depending on your travel plan.
