Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (L, D)

You will be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area (or at Hanoi Opera House) by the shuttle bus. We will drive to Halong and embark the boat on Tuan Chau island to start the cruise in Ha Long Bay. After lunch on the boat, you will visit Sung Sot Cave and have a chance to swim at Ti Top Island (or climb up to the top for panorama view). Ti Top island is a perfect spot for watching the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. After that, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing, dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 2

Ha Long Bay - Lan Ha Bay – Monkey Island (B, L, D)

You will start your day having breakfast while cruising through tranquil area to Gia Luan harbour on Cat Ba island. After disembarking the boat at Gia Luan pier, you will have a bus drive through Cat Ba National Park to Beo harbour, view the tropical forest and limestone mountains. Upon reaching Beo harbour, a small boat will take you to Monkey Island resort. Check in then having lunch beside lovely beach.

In the afternoon, you have free time for swimming, kayaking, playing football, volleyball on the beach, or play chess, billiards, Ping-Pong, table football in entertainment area. Take a hike up the mountain for panorama view and pictures of Monkey island and Lan Ha Bay, then down to another beach to see monkey life. After that, it is time for relaxing and dinner at a beachside restaurant. Overnight is in the bungalow.

Day 3

Monkey Island – Halong Bay – Hanoi (B, L)

Have breakfast and check out your room. You will take a small boat back to Cat Ba island as a bus drives you to Gia Luan pier. After embarking the big boat for cruising back to Halong, you will pass rock formations while having lunch served. By noontime, you will reach Tuan Chau harbour and get on shuttle bus for driving back to Hanoi. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Old Quarter around 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Note: In case of bad weather, the route may be changed at last minute, you probably return to Hanoi from Cat Ba island by car and ferry through Hai Phong highway.
