  • The landscapes on our trip were truly spectacular. We also liked the homestay. Our main criticism concerns the final day which was driving only.

The tour description promises more but that was not delivered. The driver was excellent. We told him so. The guide was charming but could have made more of an effort to point our the different ethnic groups. Also, he did nothing to bring some interest to the final day, even though the description promises a visit to a factory. We found him nice and friendly but also too passive and easy. He could have done more to point out cultural and ethnic points of interest. After the homestay the lunches and dinners were of a very low standard. Are there no better places in the region for lunch or dinner? Or is the meals budget too low? We were surprised that the home cooking on the first and second day was much better than the restaurant meals after that.

    Best regards,

  • Sorry for later answering but we are still traveling. We are now in Bangkok. We spend a nice time in Hanoi & Ha Long bay and your organisation was perfect. The guide is was very helpful and very friendly. We had a wonderfull « food » on the ship.

So, everything was OK. We really thank you for the organisation. If we have to come back to Vietnam, we shall not fail to contact you.

    We our best regards

  • I was deeply impressed by the very professional and well organized service. We felt at ease with using your company from the first point of organization. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. Give special thanks to Duong and Victoria for great itinerary for one day tour in Hanoi.

I don't think that there is very much room for improvement! Everything was so well organized and emails were always prompt. Well done to every body.

  • Service is excellent. Very cheerful and helpful. Keep it up as we really enjoyed the Ho Chi Minh City tour (1/2 day) and the tour to Cu Chi.

  • Thank you so much for your mail. We have indeed enjoyed our trip very much – which was most interesting - and are grateful to you for the perfect organisation thereof. In response to your request for comments, we would like to mention the following:

TRIP: The visa procedures took for us at least 1 ½ hr, which was not very pleasant and the guide got very nervous, because he had the impression that we were not on the plane. It may therefore be useful to warn your future clients for this and advise them to arrange for the visa at their home country.
The Cai Be floating market is there 24 hrs a day and could therefore be visited anytime of the day. An early departure from Ho Chi Minh City is therefore not strictly necessary.
We visited also the Fine Arts Museum in HCM City i.s.o. the War Remnants Museum. We found this to be very interesting and were impressed by the beauty of the many pictures and statues we saw.
In Hoi An we used the bicycles of the hotel to cycle through the rice fields, which we enjoyed very much. It might be a suggestion to mention this possibility in your tour description.
When we disembarked from the Paloma in Halong Bay at around 11.45 hr we were driven by car to Hanoi where we arrived at around 16.30 hr. So we had approximately 4 hours to spend somewhere, before the train was leaving for Lao Cai. You might like to mention that in the itinerary. In our case the time was filled in by visiting old Hanoi and having dinner with our guide.

HOTELS: The Liberty Central Riverside Hotel in HCM City had a fairly small room with a bathroom with walls of transparent glass. So there is no privacy when using the toilet. The location however was good. We ourselves would have preferred to stay in the Renaissance Hotel next door. The Liberty also debitted my visa account after we left and had settled our bill (incl. minibar of course), without giving any notice/explanation to me. We dislike very much that kind of practice.
The Ancient Village Hotel in Hoi An was perfect.
The Moonlight Hotel in Hue was well located and was OK. But the shower was in the Jacuzzi bath, with a strongly sloping bottom, which is dangerous. The side of the bath was also very high making it difficult to get in and out. On the Paloma we had a very cramped cabin, where the airconditioning did not work, resulting in a very unpleasant night. Perhaps you could consider a more comfortable boat for future clients.
The Marriott in Hanoi (our own choice) was located too far from the center and in fact too big. To people who wish to stay in a 1st class hotel you may like to recommend the Hilton or the Sofitel.

TRANSPORT The cars and drivers were very good and friendly. A car was used i.s.o. bus in the Sapa itinerary to bring us from Sapa to a restaurant in Lao Cai, where personnel took us to the train after dinner. This seems to be normal procedure for the tourists.

GUIDES We were impressed by our 4 guides, who were most friendly and very knowledgable and also very flexible in that changes could easily be made in the set itinerary.

In conclusion we would like to say that the friendliness and graciousness of all your countrymen made us feel very welcome. Again many thanks for everything. We have only one regret and that is that we did not meet you in person.

    Best regards,
    Tijo and Marietta van Marle
