After closing for a week due to the 10th storm named Wutip which had heavily damaged the central Quang Binh Province in general and the g Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in particular, the park has officially reopened for every visitor from October 3rd.

The strong wind and floods of the storm had caused many negative effects on most of the equipment and facilities serving guests in the national park. It is estimated that the total damages falls at more than 3 billion VND. So as to best welcome visitors, the management board and staff of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park have mobilized all resources to overcome the storm’s bad effects.

Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park was established in 2001. Two years later, it was recognized as a World Natural Heritage Site thanks to its geology and geomorphology.
