Binh Dinh Climate

Binh Dinh lies within the tropical monsoon climate region. With complicated topographical feature, the tropical monsoon’s direction and strength have varied when coming into the mainland.

The annual average temperature varies according to regions: in mountainous region, the temperature ranges from 20,1 – 26,1oC with the highest one of 31,7oC and lowest of 16,5oC; in coastal region, the highest temperature is 39,9oC and the lowest is 15,8oC.

Rainy season starts from September to the beginning of December. However, the mountainous region has to suffer from an extra rainy season which lasts from May to August due to the influence of Central Highland region’s rainy season. Dry season begins in January and ends in August.

Binh Dinh lies in the central region of Vietnam which often suffers from storms and flooding. If you are planning to travel to Binh Dinh, avoid rainy season since it may rain hard with flooding scenes. September to November is the time when storms and flooding are most common.
