Duong Long tower
Duong Long tower

Duong Long Tower is a historical relic reflecting the most prosperous time of Cham Pa civilization in 12th century. It is regarded as the most beautiful Cham Pa Towers in central Vietnam. Its impressive beauty still remains until today despite having been destroyed many times in the past.

Duong Long tower consists of three spires: The 24m high in the center and two 22m high ones on the either side. Along with outstanding height and stunning beauty, the carved stone designs on the tower have added much charm to the tower, making it more beautiful than other Cham Pa buildings in Binh Dinh. The main materials of the tower are bricks and stones, which connect the wall corners. The main gate was built with a 1.5m high stone, facing the east direction. The precise construction technique and the sophisticated carving patterns represent the skilful hand of Cham Pa people. The wall is decorated with carved images of monks in high-top hats, dancing and singing, and the top is crowned by lotus petals rising to the sky.
